Terms of Service

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of collectorshaul.com and any listing services offered through it. The site is operated by Collectors Haul LLC (“CollectorsHaul,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By using the site, submitting a shop, or purchasing a listing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. The Service

CollectorsHaul is an online directory of card and comic shops. We compile and publish business listings, and we offer optional paid upgrades that change how a listing is displayed.

We are not a party to any transaction between you and any business listed in the directory. We do not own, operate, endorse, or guarantee any listed business.

3. Directory Listings and Accuracy

Listings in our directory come from two sources: information compiled from publicly available sources, and information submitted to us directly.

We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate, but we do not warrant that any listing is accurate, complete, or current. Business hours, addresses, phone numbers, inventory, and services change without notice. Confirm details with the business directly before relying on them.

We reserve the right to add, edit, decline, suspend, or remove any listing at our sole discretion, whether free or paid.

4. Submitting a Shop

When you submit a shop through our List Your Shop form, you represent that:

  • The information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge
  • You own the business or are authorized to submit information on its behalf
  • You have the right to provide any images, descriptions, or other content you submit
  • Your submission does not infringe anyone else’s intellectual property or other rights

All submissions are reviewed before publishing. Submitting a shop does not guarantee that it will be listed, and we may decline any submission without explanation.

5. Listing Tiers and Pricing

We currently offer the following listing options:

  • Free Listing, $0. Shop name, address, phone, hours, Google Maps link, and basic search visibility.
  • Featured Listing, $29 per month. Priority placement on your city page, a featured badge, and a highlighted listing card.
  • Premium Listing, $79 per month. Everything in Featured, plus a photo gallery, social media links, a business description, and priority support.
  • Founding Member, $19 per month. Everything in Featured, at a rate locked for the first twelve months. This rate is offered by invitation to shops we contact directly, and is available for thirty days from the date of the invitation email. It cannot be applied retroactively or to shops that were not invited.

Priority placement means position within your city page listing order relative to non-featured shops. It does not refer to placement in Google or any other search engine.

6. Billing and Automatic Renewal

Paid listings are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. By purchasing a paid listing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal date until you cancel.

Founding Member pricing applies for the first twelve months from your purchase date. After twelve months, the subscription converts to the Featured Listing rate of $29 per month. We will notify you by email at least thirty days before that change takes effect.

We may change our pricing at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified by email at least thirty days before a price change takes effect on their subscription. Continuing your subscription after that date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

If a payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade your listing until payment is resolved.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel a paid listing at any time by emailing info@collectorshaul.com from the email address associated with your subscription, including your business name and location.

To ensure your cancellation takes effect before your next renewal, send your request at least three business days before your renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. Your listing keeps its paid features until that period ends, then reverts to a free listing.

8. Refunds

All payments are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or periods during which your listing was live but you chose not to use its features.

If you believe you were billed in error, contact info@collectorshaul.com and we will review it.

9. Your Content

You keep ownership of any content you submit, including business descriptions, photos, and logos.

By submitting content, you grant CollectorsHaul a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, edit for length or clarity, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the directory, including in social media posts and marketing materials referencing your listing. This license continues while your listing is published and for a reasonable period afterward for archival and promotional materials already created.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Submit a listing for a business you have no connection to or authority over
  • Scrape, harvest, copy, or republish the directory or any substantial portion of it
  • Use automated tools to access the site in a way that burdens our infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its systems
  • Use the site or its contact information to send unsolicited commercial messages

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate any listing, paid or free, and may refuse service to anyone, at our sole discretion. Reasons include violation of these Terms, submission of false information, non-payment, or conduct we reasonably believe harms the directory or its users.

If we terminate a paid listing for violation of these Terms, no refund is provided. If we discontinue a paid tier entirely, we will notify affected subscribers and stop billing going forward.

12. No Guarantee of Results

Paid listings change how your business appears within our directory. We make no guarantee of traffic, visitors, inquiries, leads, sales, search engine rankings, or any other business outcome. Search engine visibility is controlled by third parties and is outside our control.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the site, and we may modify, redesign, or discontinue features at any time.

13. Intellectual Property

The CollectorsHaul name, logo, site design, page templates, editorial content, and the compiled directory as a whole are the property of Collectors Haul LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms grants you a license to use them.

Business names, logos, and trademarks appearing in listings belong to their respective owners and are used to identify those businesses.

14. Third-Party Sites and Businesses

Our directory links to shop websites, maps, and other third-party resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products, services, or practices. Your dealings with any listed business are solely between you and that business.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

The site and all listings are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Collectors Haul LLC and its owners, officers, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, or lost data, arising from your use of the site or any listing.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the site or these Terms will not exceed the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred dollars, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Collectors Haul LLC from any claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from content you submit, your use of the site, or your violation of these Terms or of any third party’s rights.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Last Updated date above. If a change materially affects paid subscribers, we will notify affected subscribers by email. Continued use of the site or continuation of a paid listing after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect.
