Directory Listing Policy

1. Purpose of the Directory
CollectorsHaul is a public business directory that helps collectors find card shops, comic shops, and hobby stores near them. Our goal is to maintain the most accurate and useful directory of these businesses that we can.
A listing on CollectorsHaul is a reference entry about a business that is open to the public. It is not an endorsement, a certification, or a statement that the business is affiliated with Collectors Haul LLC.
2. How Listings Are Created
Listings on CollectorsHaul come from three places:
Publicly available information. We compile business names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, hours, and similar factual details from public sources, including business websites, public maps and business listings, social media pages, and other publicly accessible records.
Information submitted by business owners. Owners and representatives can submit their shop through our Submit Your Shop page. All submissions are reviewed before they are published.
Corrections from the public. Collectors and shop owners can send us corrections when something is wrong or out of date.
We do not accept payment in exchange for being included in the directory. Free listings are free. Paid tiers affect placement and presentation, not whether a shop appears.
3. Accuracy and Corrections
We work to keep listings accurate, but business information changes constantly. Hours change, shops move, phone numbers get disconnected. We cannot guarantee that every listing is current or complete.
Any business owner, representative, or member of the public may request a correction at any time by emailing info@collectorshaul.com. Corrections are prioritized over other requests. Please include the shop name, the city it is listed in, the specific information that is wrong, and the correct information.
We may verify a correction against public sources before applying it. If a correction conflicts with what we can verify publicly, we may contact you for more detail before making the change.
4. Managing Your Listing
CollectorsHaul does not currently offer self-service listing accounts. There is no login, no dashboard, and no automated claim process. Listing changes are handled by us directly.
If you are the owner or an authorized representative of a listed business, email info@collectorshaul.com and we will work with you to update your listing. We may ask you to confirm your connection to the business before making changes on your behalf.
Paid listing tiers include content that you provide and that we publish for you, such as a business description, photos, and social media links. Those tiers are governed by our Terms of Service.
Keeping your listing accurate helps collectors find you, reduces wasted trips and missed calls, and improves how your shop appears in search results.
5. Removal Requests
CollectorsHaul lists businesses that are open to the public, using factual information that is already publicly available. As a general rule, we do not remove accurate listings for businesses that are currently open to the public.
We will remove or update a listing when:
- The business is permanently closed.
- The listing is factually inaccurate and cannot be corrected.
- The listing is a duplicate of another listing.
- Removal is required by law or by a valid legal request.
- We determine, in our sole discretion, that removal is appropriate under the circumstances.
If you believe a listing should be removed, email info@collectorshaul.com with the shop name, the city, the listing URL, and the reason for the request. We review every request and will respond, though we cannot promise a specific outcome.
Content that you supplied to us as part of a paid listing is treated differently from factual public information. If you cancel a paid listing, the owner-supplied content is removed and the entry may revert to a basic factual listing.
6. Ownership of Listings and Content
Factual business information such as a shop name, address, phone number, and hours is factual reference information. Listing a business on CollectorsHaul does not transfer any rights in that business’s name, logo, or trademarks, and does not claim any.
Everything CollectorsHaul creates is owned by Collectors Haul LLC. This includes the selection, arrangement, and presentation of factual information within the directory. It also includes our directory structure and organization, our city and category pages, our editorial and descriptive writing, photos and images we create or license, and the design and presentation of the site. This material may not be copied, scraped, republished, or used to build a competing directory without our written permission.
Content that a business owner supplies to us for a paid listing remains theirs. By supplying it, the owner grants Collectors Haul LLC permission to display it on the site as described in our Terms of Service.
7. Use of AI Tools
We use AI tools in parts of our editorial process. They may help with drafting and editing descriptive text, formatting and organizing listing information, categorizing shops, and summarizing publicly available information.
Every AI-assisted description is reviewed by a person before it is published.
AI does not replace verification. Factual business information is checked against real sources before it goes live, and our process is built to reject claims that cannot be traced to a verifiable source. If you find something on your listing that is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the directory grows. When we do, we will change the Last Updated date at the top of this page.
