Collectors Haul LLC (“CollectorsHaul,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates collectorshaul.com, an online directory of card and comic shops. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Shop submissions. When you submit a shop through our List Your Shop form, we collect business information including business name, address, phone number, website, hours of operation, and shop type, along with the contact name and email address of the person submitting.
• Contact inquiries. When you email us or use a contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
• Paid listing upgrades. When you purchase a listing upgrade, we collect the billing name, email address, and subscription details associated with your purchase.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the site, we and our service providers may automatically collect IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and time spent on the site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described in Section 4.

Business Information From Public Sources

Many listings in our directory were compiled from publicly available business information, including business names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, and hours. This information relates to businesses, not to private individuals.

2. What Becomes Public

Directory listings are published on the site and are visible to anyone. Published listing details include business name, address, phone number, website, hours, shop type, and descriptive content.

The personal contact details you give us when submitting a shop, such as your name and email address as the submitter, are used to verify and administer the listing. We do not publish submitter contact details unless that information is itself the business’s own publicly listed contact information.

3. How We Use Information

• To build, verify, correct, and maintain directory listings
• To respond to inquiries and support requests
• To process paid listing upgrades and manage subscriptions
• To send transactional messages such as submission confirmations, receipts, and billing notices
• To send occasional messages to card and comic shops about the directory and listing options
• To measure and improve site performance and understand how visitors use the site
• To protect the site against spam, abuse, and security threats
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

• Essential. Required for the site to function, including page delivery, caching, and security.
• Analytics. To understand how visitors find and use the site.
• Advertising. To support advertising displayed on the site, as described in Section 6.

• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

7. Payments

Paid listing upgrades are processed by Stripe. Payment card information is entered directly into Stripe’s payment interface and is not collected or stored by CollectorsHaul. We retain billing records associated with your purchase, including name, email address, subscription tier, subscription status, and transaction history.

Stripe’s handling of payment information is governed by its own privacy policy, available at https://stripe.com/privacy.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation and refund terms are governed by our Terms of Service.

8. Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party services to operate the site. These include:

• Website hosting and content delivery
• Analytics, as described in Section 5
• Advertising, as described in Section 6
• Payment processing, as described in Section 7
• Embedded maps, which may load content from Google and set cookies when a map is displayed
• Form processing, spam prevention, security monitoring, and caching

These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services and are governed by their own privacy policies.

9. Email Communications

We may send transactional emails relating to submissions, listings, and billing. We may also send occasional messages to card and comic shops about the directory and listing options. Every non-transactional email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out at any time by emailing info@collectorshaul.com. Unsubscribing does not stop transactional messages relating to an active paid listing.

10. Listing Corrections, Updates, and Removal

Business owners may request corrections or updates to a listing, or request that a listing be removed. Requests are reviewed individually in accordance with our directory policies. Send requests to info@collectorshaul.com and include the business name and location.

CollectorsHaul does not currently provide self-service listing management. Requests are handled by email.

11. Data Retention

We keep directory listing information for as long as the listing remains part of the directory. We keep contact and inquiry records for as long as needed to respond and maintain our records, generally up to two years. We keep billing and transaction records for as long as required by tax and accounting obligations, generally seven years. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Your Choices and Rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, request that it be corrected, or request that it be deleted. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time. To make a request, email info@collectorshaul.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Requests relating to directory listings are handled as described in Section 10.

14. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion or correction of that information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not receive money in exchange for it. Advertising and analytics technologies used on this site may result in the “sharing” of certain identifiers and browsing information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. You can limit this using the advertising opt-outs in Section 6 and by enabling a Global Privacy Control signal in a supporting browser.

15. Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@collectorshaul.com and we will delete it.

16. International Visitors

CollectorsHaul is operated from the United States and is intended for users in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

17. Links to Other Sites

Our directory links to shop websites and other third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

18. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Last Updated date above. Material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
